Carmen Tedesco

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we share this devasting news. Carmen Tedesco passed away Saturday, February 21. Our thoughts and prayers are with Michael, Frank, and all of their families and friends. The funeral was Friday, February 27.

There is no way that this hole in our hearts can be filled. Carmen was one of a kind, generous to a fault, and always willing to make sure everyone was not hungry. Carmen loved family, racing, and feeding people, and at the track, he got to combine all three. We will always remember our dear friend, especially when we come together at the track, to race, be with our family (by blood or by racing), and share time, food, and memories.

Update on our Fund Drive

Check out the PRP Facebook page for the before and after shots of Bill Turk, Mike Barnyk, and Matt Brehm getting bushwhacked, er, their haircuts done up in the short style of track manager Greg Miller. Kudos to those guys for being great sports and helping the fund drive. Donations are around the $1200 mark now, not far from the $1500 needed to knock Chuck Turocy's longtime beard down to a goatee, and $2000 will put him back to a babyface. Thank you to all who have donated to the Thinking of Nikki Foundation. Please click the link to the right to visit the website if you are not familiar with Nikki's story, and see why this is such an important cause to the PRP family.

Thinking of Nikki fundaraiser

The PRP family is very familiar with the journey that our dear friends the Denikers endured as their sweet daughter Nikki bravely and courageously fought AML leukemia. While she beat the cancer, her body succumbed to the toll of the treatments at just 7 years old. PRP proudly supports the Thinking of Nikki Foundation, created to honor Nikki's memory in order to help families and children dealing with pediatric cancers. To help, we have added a link to the right side here on the main page for the foundation's website. And to have a fun way to help raise some funds here early in 2015, PRP's Bill Turk has put some skin, er, hair, in the game. If you know Bill, his hair may be best described as Tom Cruise mixed with Seth Rogen, and maybe a little Don King. If donations to the Thinking of Nikki Foundation go over $250, Bill will get his hair cut by, and in the same short style, as track manager Greg Miller. How short is that? How about a #2 on the sides and finger width hand cut on top? But wait! There's more! If donations top $500, Hard Metal Tooling Modified class racer Mike Barnyk (think early Justin Bieber) will get his hair cut in the same style as well! Click the link for donation options, and make the notation "hair". Before and after pics will be posted!
